Once upon a time, many years ago, I was not a bad skier. Hard to believe I know, there aren’t many mountains in the Netherlands! If you think that is unlikely, take a look at my tip for the people’s favourite in Vancouver:
Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong is the first Ghanain Winter Olympian ever! The Snow Leopard only saw snow for the first time 10 years ago, and that was in London. He says:
“I think it was like sending a Ghanaian to the moon. I feel great about competing and all my friends in Ghana think it is really cool. I’m very proud of my heritage and being a role model for other Africans and Ghanaians to follow their dream. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.”
Kwame’s ambition is to return to Ghana from Milton Keynes to open a dry ski slope.
If you’re going to have a dream – have a big one.
